Phase 2 Setback - Blog 10

This past week, and most likely for the remainder of our time, I have been the sole person on the team devoted to the back-end of the project, while the other 12 are working in the front-end. Our focus this week was supposed to be finishing up Phases 1 and 2, so that we would be able to being Phase 3. Since the back-end for phase 2 was pretty much completed by me last week, my job in the back now is to not bug the rest of the team as they are heads down on their tasks, however it's my job to be ready to write any new addition endpoints that might make the front-end tasks easier, should they ask for them. As instructed, I didn't really need to work much this week, other than be pretty much "on call." When the day came for the presentation, I hadn't heard anything from the front end guys, so I assumed they didn't need my help. However, this was not the case. Instead, they waited for the last minute before beginning phase 2, and I didn't get the heads-up to being creating a new endpoint until Thursday morning. I was able to scramble to produce something working by class time, but the front end didn't really have anything to show. Hopefully this week we can make good progress to being phase 3 the week after.
